Sunsoka

Stephen Chamberlain Technical Services would be able to provide an experienced team to install your new wooden framed pool or if you are confident of your DIY capabilities, you may want to read the following outline to give you an idea of what is entailed in personally erecting your own wooden framed pool.  Once the ground is prepared, it normally takes about 2 days for 2 installers to put up the frame and insert the liner and then all that is needed is to connect the pump and filter before you can start filling your pool.

Metal Frame

Stephen Chamberlain Technical Services would be able to provide an experienced team to install your new metal framed pool or if you are confident of your DIY capabilities, you may want to read the following outline to give you an idea of what is entailed in personally erecting your own metal framed pool.  More detailed instructions would of course be provided on sale of the pool. Once the ground is prepared, it normally takes about 3 days for 2 installers to put up the frame and insert the liner and then all that is needed is to connect the pump and filter before you can start filling your pool.

  • Make sure you have the necessary tools and materials before beginning your installation.   Below is a list of the tools and materials needed:
    • Shovel
    • Tape measure
    • Phillips head screwdriver
    • Duct tape
    • Sand or pool base
    • Filter
    • Skimmer/Return fitting
    • Carpenters level and/or transit
    • Patio Blocks (2" x 8" x 16")
    • Box cutter (Razor blade)
    • Tamp
    • 5/16" wrench
  • Determine Pool Location

Do not locate pool over underground lines, septic tanks or under electrical lines or on asphalt, tar or oil base surfaces.  Avoid areas with sharp objects, or ground treated with weed killer or other chemicals.  Grass must be removed.  Be sure to follow all local building codes and obtain all building permits required for your area.

  • Determine placement of ladder (exit and entry point to pool)

STEP 1 - PREPARING THE SITE

Mark or outline the ground where the pool will be going using spray paint.  Please keep in mind that you will need some extra room to work.  Be sure to account for the space that the side supports extend out.

STEP 2 - LEVELLING

The key to properly levelling the surface for an above ground swimming pool is to start at the lowest point and dig everything else down to that level.  You do not want to build up the lower areas to be level with the higher areas as this could cause problems if the ground starts to settle.

STEP 3 - UNPACKING THE POOL

Separate all of the parts, becoming familiar with each by checking them against the generic parts breakdown provided with the kit.  Count the number of each part and check that against the packing list as well.

STEP 4 - ASSEMBLY OF POOL

Full instructions for the assembly of the pool can be provided by us.
